Wood Occupations NVQ - Site Carpentry

This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work as a Site Carpenter within the construction industry.

This qualification consists of three (3) mandatory units and 6 optional units.

In order to achieve/pass this qualification learners must successfully complete/achieve all three (3) Mandatory units and three (3) Optional units.

Mandatory Units: 

• Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
• Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
• Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace

Optional Units 

• Erecting structural carcassing components in the workplace
• Installing Fire Resisting Timber Door Assemblies and Doorsets in the Workplace
• Installing first fixing components in the workplace
• Installing second fixing components in the workplace
• Maintaining non-structural carpentry work in the workplace
• Setting up and using transportable cutting and shaping machines in the workplace

The cost of the full NVQ, which includes all 3 mandatory units plus 3 optional units, is £750 + VAT.

The cost of any 1 of the additional optional units is £200 + VAT
